Pair of Louis Philippe style medallion armchairs,
dating back to the second half of the 19th century and c
rafted from fine rosewood with characteristic dark, figured grain.
The frame features sinuous lines with a seamless oval medallion backrest,
scrolled armrests, and cabriole front legs.
The front legs, originally designed to end in casters,
have been integrated during restoration with a
wooden extension to compensate for the height.
The rear legs feature the classic saber shape.
Structural restoration with the addition of internal corner
brackets to eliminate wobble,
while the surface was rejuvenated using traditional shellac polish.
The upholstered section has been completely remade and covered in a
double-sided upholstery fabric
(identical on the front and back, ideal for center-room placement)
featuring an all-over historical clock graphic pattern in shades of ivory, sepia, and anthracite.
