Italian Louis XVI bench in carved oak.
The perforated back has four-petal flowers carved on each harp.
The six pyramidal feet are also embellished with a small leaf carving
on 4 sides and the armrest ends with an elegant curl.
Side backs and seat are in oak plated fir.
The seat, when raised, allows the front to slide forward like a drawer
so as to create a large compartment, probably used as a bed.
Restored and polished with shellac internally and externally with wax finish.
The seat measurements are 172 cm wide, 53 deep and 47 high.
